HALO 2 came out today, the greatest day in history. School, Work or friends wont matter any more!!
1/12/04
went to see Blink 182 yesterday with supports from Sugarcult, and some other band that were so poor i didnt even catch the name....this was a great gig, Blink 182 were very cool a long with Sugarcult. the crowd was crazzzzy, so much so that i was knocked out in one of the mosh pits, only to awake to two girls and a guy holding me up...was all very good!!
4/12/04
went to see Machine Head yesterday. they were amazing. again it was another crazy crowd that managed some very crazy mosh pits, with a circle pit at then end (actually a rectangle) that filled the whole of the floor of the academy 1, more or less. was cool till everyone fell over...highlight of the night was when some guys jumped off of the balcony into the crowd, and the covers Machine Head did, which included Black Sabbath, Metallica and Iron Maiden.
also met Ellie in town today...she fuckin' rules!!
11/12/04
went to meet Ellie and her mates in town today, shes just the coolest, as are her friends, but not as cool as she is.
15/12/04
yesterday went to see Kasabian with Chappers, George, Rhys, Bryn, Tom and Bryn's friend Harry. Was very, very, very good, one of the best shows ive seen. first time seeing Kasabian, and enjoyed it thoroughly.
20/12/04
Yesterday went to London to see MUSE at Earls Court, with supports from Soulwax and The Zutons. This was one of the best shows I have ever been to, and probably wont be beaten. Soulwaz were good, The Zutons were excellent and MUSE were just fukin' brilliant. Went down to London with Bryn and his family, and we met Chapman down there. MUSE...WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO....

Saw Green Day last night, they were bloody amazing...as would be expected....New Found Glory were fantastic aswell, but no band can compare to Green Day...Wooooo...

Found out the headliners for the Download Festival this year, they are:
Fri: Feeder, Garbage, Billy Idol...
Sat: Black Sabbath, Velvet Revolver, Him...
Sun: System of a Down, Slipknot, Slayer...
When i heard that Black Sabbath and Sytem of a Down and Slipknot were playing, i just knew i had to go to this festival...so i had my Weekend Camping ticket ordered one hour later...and on the night i ordered Jemma's Weekend Camping ticket...'tis going to be a well earned break during my exams....
13/02/05
Saw New Found Glory last night, they were brilliant, the crowd was cool and the atmosphere was cooler...first support band: The Explosion were brilliant, second support band: Hot Water Music weren't bad....but New Found Glory just rocked....also its Chapmans 16th birthday today....have a good one you fucktard....
23/02/05
Saw Simple Plan last night, they were cool. Support from The Glitterati, who were absolute shit last time i saw them when they supported The Datsuns, but this time they weren't so bad. There was a very weak wall of death during 'Im Just A Kid', all the 10yr old Simple Plan fans didnt know what the hell hit them...went with Duncan and Alex, Duncan beat this shit out of anyone who came near him...was funny as hell.
3/03/05
Went to see Paul Weller last night...he rocks so much. Support from Nic Armstrong or something like hat, they were, wierd, but good. However Paul stole the show of course, with his music to shake your booty to...oh yeah!!
9/03/05
Purchased my Reading Festival weekend camping ticket today, along with an early entry pass, its gonna rock sooo much. So far only me, Alex and Hannah have tickets....but hopefully a few more will be coming with us, if they get their friggin' acts together. Otherwise me Alex and Hannah will have to partey like mofos by ourselves...which will still rock!
12/03/05
Hopefully going to see Fightstar tonight, dont have a ticket but am hoping to find a tout there *crosses fingers*
13/03/05
Saw Fightstar last night, man do they rock. Luckily some girl offered me her spare ticket as she walked in, i thanked her excessivly. Anywho support from Cry for Silence and Hollywood Ending. They were both very very good, but Fightstar were just kick ass. This was the most 'emo' thing i've ever experienced in my life, but t'was very cool.
19/03/05
Saw Jimmy Eat World last night, Hundred Reasons supported, they are so cool. But nevertheless Jimmy owned the night, such good sing along music. Jeans came down in the crowd, managed to grab them though, must wear a belt!
22/03/05
Saw The Zutons last night, they are so cool. The supports were cool, the first one (Misty's Big Adventure) were the greatest band ive ever seen, they are crazy, they had a man who just danced around in a puppet suit for the whole set, brilliant. The Zutons were immense though, sang my heart out.
16/04/05
Saw Kaiser Chiefs last night with my concert buddy, Chapman. They were very cool. Some of the guys from our 6th form took pillows and beat people with them, was very funny. Also Chapman nearly didnt get elt in, his ticket wouldnt go through the scanner thing, haha.
22/04/05
Saw Hell is for Heroes last night with Bryn and Rob, we didnt stand through the supports, were kind of lame. Hell is for Heroes were awesome though. But the best bit of the night was waiting for Hell is for Heroes to come on, we were standing quite close to the front, and there was this fat kid in a Murderdolls hoody, a big emo bitch no less. Some guy was trying to push in front of him to get to his mates, but this kid just continually pushed him away, eventually the emo kid pushed this guy all the way to the back of the crowd, i couldnt stop laughing, i thought i was going to choke. A few minutes later, the guy who was trying to get infront of the kid returned, the Murderdolls kid never returned. Possibly the best thing i have ever seen at a gig.
30/04/05
Saw Flogging Molly last night, didnt see the supports, only went for Flogging Molly, and they are most likely the best performance i have ever seen. The crowd was immense, so much pushing and moshing, i was knackered. And they had great crowd interaction, a lot of fun.
19/05/05
Saw Moby last night with Bryn and Sioned. Got offered a spare ticket, wasnt particuarly interested in seeing him, but ill be damned he was great. Funny guy and musically was very good. Enjoyed it thoroughly, also stole an advertisement for his album, hehe.
26/05/05
Saw Fightstar last night, with support from Maple Staples and Armour for Sleep. The first support were...ok. Armour for Sleep were brilliant. And Fightstar, well, 'oh my god' describes it best. They are just brilliant live, their music sounds great, and well c'mon its Charlie Simpson, what man wouldnt be gay for him ;). The only thing that spoilt the gig was all the 'n00bs' that were like 'oh my goood i get to see Charlie' and then complained when they got thrown around in the crowd, even though they went right to the front. To punish them i threw emos at them, hehe. The moshing was brilliant, i was bloody knackered after the first 4 songs or so. Palahniuks Laughter is just the best song live, ever. All in all 9/10, a point lost due to the bitches in the crowd.
10/06/05 - 12/06/05
AT DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL (see Download 2005 page)
19/06/05
Saw Green Day at Milton Keynes Bowl last night. They had three supports (Hard-Fi, Taking Back Sunday, Jimmy Eat World) But i couldnt be arsed to see them, so i arrived just in time for when Green Day would come on. It was a 20 minute walk from the train station, was annoying. But got there and the atmosphere blew me away, 65,000 fans, 70% were screaming girls, grr. Anyway, got as close to the front as i could, which wasnt very far at all considering the crowd was huge, i only made it to the sound booth, but i didnt have to worry cos as soon as Americn Idiot started there was a gigantic surge forward and i ended up 5/6 rows from the back of the D-Bar. So many people were running backwards from the surge i was laughing at them, stupid whiney n00b bitches. The crowd was awesome after that, there were a lot of hardcore fans that knew all the older songs, and then there was the NME bitches who are like, what? Green Day have made more than one album, or oh i dont know this song (Basket Case), man they piss me off so much. All in all it was a good night, lots of pyro and stuff, was fun.
24/06/05-27/06/05
